What will I be when I grow up?
So what am I leaning towards when I grow up? A Forensic Psychiatrist, yep that's me! And apparently it's only me. I find it surprising it doesn't have a larger following but I'm not complaining! After telling people that, I usually get 3 responses. Nonmedical people are usually relieved because "we can all use a Psychiatrist." Medical people are usually relieved b/c " well, at least it's not Psychiatry." The miscellanous group just thinks I'm going to cut up dead people! So what do Forensic Psychiatrists do? What's new with my so called academic life?
Well folks, it's all hospital work from now until I graduate in June 2005. I can say 2 things right now: Thank God I'm done with Third year, and Thank God I passed the Step 2. I'm almost finished with fourth year and begin Internship in July. Yikes!!!!! But I have to admit, I've thoroughly enjoyed 4th year. I think by the time July comes I will welcome the change!
Match Day was March 17, and like most people I was so excited. I matched at Thomas Jefferson for Psychiatry. Looks like Philly's got 4 more years of me!
